The Face on Mars
In the mid 1980's, scientists, reviewing remotely sensed imagery of the Martian
surface, came upon a geologic feature that looked very much like a
human face.
These 'structures' were discovered on several frames of film, and show the 'face'
in an area of Mars known as Cydonia. Several people claim that NASA has other film
footage which shows the face in much more detail but they are refusing to make public this film.
Several people including Richard Hoagland, have stated that other structures are
also visible such as cities and pyramids. He claims that the face could not have been
formed by nature alone, and uses this as a claim of an ancient civilisation.
Other sceptics claim that the face is just an unfortunate coincidence. However when
the image was digitally enhanced by the work of Dr Mark Carlotto the 'face' does look
very convincing.
All should be revealed in the next couple of years as NASA is planning another mission
to Mars and this will hopefully answer the question once and for all.
